[edit] List of Internet Exchange Points by size‎

I noticed your comment about spending 7 hours making the table. I assume that was formatting it and not just entering the data. I have found a very quick method of making tables by working in a spreadsheet program and turning that into a web page, then cutting and pasting the resultant html into the Wikipedia page. It just takes a few minutes once you have the data in. I used an old version of Excel so it does not include all that crappy Microsoft coding. ww2censor 05:27, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I suppose gathering that info could take quite a while indeed. Cheers. ww2censor 11:45, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Good job updating the data in List of Internet Exchange Points by size! Thanks! - Ilse@ 20:11, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Hey, thanks for updating the iPhony citation with cite-web. I have a mental block when it comes to syntax on that template and usually have to go back later when I remember it and fill in all the useful fields. If you're feeling really adventurous, I'd appreciate the same help on The Soxaholix. I'll admit that now that I remember needing to put those templates in, I'm just lazy at this point. ;) Thanks! ju66l3r 22:37, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

You da man! Thanks! ju66l3r 01:20, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright infringement?‎

I'd like to know why you reported the article http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikolai_Melnik like a copyright violation. I've checked the sources cited in the article, and everything is valid and no specific information seems or could be stolen regarding the article's content.

Is just a small bio about a guy who did a great job when s*it hit the fan back in '86. In 5 days it will be another Chornobyl anniversary, it's completely pointless to vandalise an article with unsustained copyright problems allegations.

Please, specify why you marked that article as "illegal" (copyright infrigment) next time you plan to set it that way.

Remember: Wikipedia doesn't allows or encourages stealing copyrighted information but they also don't like people who makes unsustained and unjustified copyright claims.

Thank you.

PS: I have returned the article to it's previous state meanwhile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.127.29.220 (talk) 21 April 2007

Almost the entire Wikipedia entry is a copy of the St. Petersburg Times article that is quoted as a source. Each and every sentence in the "Life" section has been copied verbatim from the article which is clearly marked as "Copyright The St. Petersburg Times 1993 - 2007" at the bottom of the article page. Therefore the Wikipedia entry has to be either deleted or rewritten. Anyway: your understanding of copyright violation seems to be flawed. As the case is pretty clear I have reinstated the copyvio. I am certainly not politically or otherwise motivated to remove information. Agentbla 15:50, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright violation: Construcciones Aeronáuticas

Not so much unwelcome as simply unnecessary - see Wikipedia:Copyright violations on history pages. If you spot such a problem, you can just roll it back yourself rather than drag it through the copyvio process. You should, of course, note the copyvio in the edit summary and leave a message for the contributor. Practically speaking, it means that the issue is dealt with on the spot, and that we don't have otherwise fine content hidden under a copyvio notice for a week or more! :) --Rlandmann 22:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
