Afternoon (アフタヌーン) is a Japanese seinen manga magazine published by Kodansha. It is a monthly anthology, and each issue typically has around thirty ongoing stories by various authors and runs about 800 pages. Afternoon has spawned many successful seinen manga series such as Ah! Megami-sama (Oh My Goddess!), Genshiken: The Society for Study of Modern Visual Culture (which was a success among otaku) and Mugen no Jūnin (Blade of the Immortal). It is part of Kodansha's "1day" series, which also includes the magazines Morning and Evening.
