Aftabul Islam

Aftab ul Islam, LLB, FCA is a Bangladeshi entrepreneur who joined in politics recently. He was born in Comilla, November 18, 1950. He is contesting from the Bangladesh Awami League in the National Assembly from Comilla constituency - 8 . His probable opponent would be Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister and Chairperson of BNP. He is the current President and CEO of International Office Equipment, Bangladesh. He was the former President of BCS IT Association of Bangladesh, and was the elected President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). He also became the first ever non-American to lead the prestigious forum of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AMCHAM). Islam participated in various conference and training through out the world.

Aftabul Islam was instrumental in setting up the BCS Computer city in Bangladesh. He is also the founder of ATAZ Limited, an U.S based consulting firm; chairperson of Impact PR and founding-director of Islam Aftab & Co.an Audit & Accounting firm. Aftab ul Islam is married to Towfika Aftab, he has 2 sons. His wife Towfika Aftab is a practising criminal lawyer at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. His eldest son Mr.Asif Aftab graduated in International Marketing from Temple University, Philadelphia,USA and did his M.S from St.Joseph University in Philadelphia, USA and married to Zareen Aftab. Younger son Zerif Aftab studing BBA in ABAC University of Bangkok, Thailand.
