[edit] Quality Article
This seems to be a fairly well put together article. If there's anyone actively editing it it would be an excellent choice for a WP:GA nod. CJ 18:20, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion
I think the article needs expansion in the first paragraph. It jumps from saying African Americans were central to the development of Omaha to stressing their high poverty rate. What has happened to industry and the economy of Omaha during its history?
Addition of a section dealing with the 1960's through the end of the 20th century might provide answers to questions arising from having the article end with a section on Race Riots. What changes have there been to the economy and population of Omaha? What has happened to education in the city? Why do African Americans have such a high poverty rate? What has been going on in the city since the time of the 1930's through 1950's when African Americans seemed to have a thriving community? --Parkwells 02:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] GA status
This article is on hold for 5 days. Please address these issues:
- the neighborhoods section is too short. Expand it or merge to another section.
- the refs are highly inconsistent (some only have urls, some retrieve dates, etc). See Harry S. Truman and Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America) for samples of good referencing.Sumoeagle179 20:39, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
