Afrikan Boy (born 28 March 1989)[1] is a grime MC from Woolwich, London, England, originally from Nigeria.[2] He made a guest appearance on the track "Hussel" from the M.I.A. album Kala,[3] and is signed to her label, Zig-Zag.[4] A remix of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" was uploaded onto her MySpace featuring Afrikan Boy and fellow tour mate Rye Rye. He also appeared on a remix of "We Takin' Over" from the Lil Wayne mixtape Da Drought 3.[5] Afrikan Boy has never appeared on pirate radio,[2] a performance opportunity common in the grime genre.[6] He has a mixtape in the works, tentatively entitled Can of Whoop Ass.[2] He is currently studying for a Psychology degree at Brunel University.
