African Under-17 Championship

CAF sponsors African Under-17 Championship by African Cup of Nations equal to or less than 17 years old that served as a preliminary of FIFA U-17 World Cup. From 1985 to 1993 only qualifying competitions for the FIFA U-17 World Cup were played. Since 1995 there is a biannual African championship.
