African Guitar Summit

African Guitar Summit is a group of Canadian guitar players, all of African origin. Assembled together for three days in Toronto, under the auspices of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation they produced a self-titled album which was released in November 2004.

The group also toured a live show, including performing at the Live 8 concert in Barrie, near Toronto. The album won the Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year in 2005.

Members of African Guitar Summit include: Alpha Yaya Diallo, Naby Camara, Pa Joe, Theo Boakye, drummer Kofi Ackah; Professor Adam Solomon; Mighty Popo; Donné Robert and multiple Juno Award winner Madagascar Slim.
