AfrAsia Bank Limited (AfrAsia Bank) was incorporated in Mauritius on January 14, 2007 by Groupe Mon Loisir (GML) and Loita Capital Partners, the former holding the majority of shares. AfrAsia Bank is the 19th bank to be established on the island and only second banking institution to be privately owned in the country. Launched on 2nd October 2007, the bank has been set up to offer corporate, wealth management and global business solutions.

With more than 120 subsidiaries & associates, GML ranks among the first 5 of the Top 100 local firms and among the top regional firms. Established since 1939, GML is represented in several sectors of the national economy, including the sugar, tourism, printing, textile sectors as well as soft drink production, and is an active partner player of the regional challenge. Due to his performance and reactivity, GML plays a key role in regional development, benefiting from the advantages of an expanding sub-region with prime quality partners such as Bourbon-Axa Investment Fund or Unibra, the Belgian fund handler.

Loita is a financial services company based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Its primary activities include bank management services, corporate finance and commercial banking. Loita’s activities also include the provision of IT services to the financial sector through its subsidiary Fintech.
