You might also want to change the name to Afghanistan Medal (Australia) - The British medal of over 100 yearsprevious should have the original article.
Per WP:ODM#Disambiguation guidelines, medals of the same name awarded by different countries, all ought to be disambiguated, with the base name turned in to a disambiguation page (eg Cross of Valour (Canada), Cross of Valour (Australia), and Cross of Valour). As a result I have moved this page to Afghanistan Medal (Australia); when the article for the British medal is created it ought to reside at Afghanistan Medal (United Kingdom). If the Australians have instituted an 'Iraq Medal', then the British Iraq Medal will also need to be moved.
