I left some samples for how to set up citations. The article will have to address the fact that there is no such recognized condition as savant syndrome, with careful language. Good luck! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Removing tags on Savant Syndrome
You may be aware that Savant syndrome has recently been targeted by users from the 205.118 range removing various tags from the page.
Now I understand that you have contributed a lot to the page, and you are working on citations. Without for a moment assuming bad faith, could I please make it clear that using alternative accounts or IPs to achieve a particular goal is generally regarded as WP:Sock puppetry and often leads to all accounts being blocked? You may not be involved in this at all, so I leave it entirely to you.
Because of the actions of the 205.118 contributors, the page is now semi-protected. This should not affect your editing, but it means that anonymous and new accounts are unable to make any changes. JFW | T@lk 19:16, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I understand you prefer to rely on Treffert's work, but it is generally advised that other sources are used to support otherwise somewhat extraordinary claims. You have indicated that there are other researchers into Savant syndrome whose would could be cited. JFW | T@lk 14:10, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Aetoss, since you're somewhat new to Wiki, I also wanted to make sure that you know how to read and communicate with other editors on the article's talk page. There are a number of concerns raised there; specifically, the article is verging towards an essay-like original research piece. It would help if you'd use the article talk page to communicate with other editors about the article. The talk page is located by clicking on the discussion tab from the article page. - Aetoss, I previously directed you to the article talk page, where you should join in discussion about your edits. See Talk:Savant syndrome, Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

- It's OK to write about Tommy McHugh, but creating an empty article isn't necessary. Even if it's deleted in its current form, which is likely, you can recreate it later with sufficient content. Thanks and good luck. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:59, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- My friend, you're about to get us both clobbered for a 3RR violation. As I've pointed out, there is no need to create an empty article on any subject as a placeholder for the title. Please, either add some content or simply let it be deleted and you may recreate something with content under the same title at a later date. Thanks again. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:02, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Please do not ever come onto my talk page with a chip on your shoulder. I am trying to help you. Once more: There is no need to placeholder a subject. When you've done sufficient research on your subject, go ahead and write about it. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:06, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
