Ever since Dr Ranveer Malhotra's (Amitabh Bachan) son died in a car accident, he has been very protective of his daughter Ria (Bipasha Basu). When she meets Aryan Trivedi (John Abraham), she is mesmerized by him and she soons engages in a relationship with Aryan as an act of adolescent rebelliousness against her over-possessive father.
Ria introduces him to her parents, and her mother (Supriya Pilgaonkar) instantly approves of him. Unfortunately her father is not as enthusiastic and does not want Ria to meet him anymore. Aryan is madly in love with Ria and refuses to leave her. When Ria disobeys him, her father decides to dig deeper into Aryan's past. Ranveer is desperate as he knows Ria is heading towards something dangerous... This is a remake of Hollywood movie Fear (1996)..
