I am told that you can not use Bleach to wash your white when you have an Aerobic System....if this is true....How do I clean whites?

Depending on the source, some say don't use bleach (OxyClean is a recommended replacement, or other non-chlorine bleach), others say use it in moderation; one owner's manual says use it only when needed, and at half the concentration listed on the container[1]. Check your owner's manual and see what it says; if you don't have one, then I'd recommend using the half-concentration bleach only when needed, and keep an eye on your system. If the environment in the tank is seriously damaged, then the system will start to back up. It's not really all that different from a traditional septic system in these ways, both rely on a healthy internal ecosystem to function. scot 16:30, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
