Aerial tissu (also aerial tissue, aerial silk, aerial ballet in silk, aerial contortion or aerial curtain) is an acrobatic, aerial ballet which is performed while suspended from a piece of silk or other fabric ("tissu" is French for fabric).

Aerial Hoop (also Lyra, Cerceaux, aerial ballet on hoop, aerial contortion) is an acrobatic, aerial ballet which is performed while suspended from a circular hoop that spins, orbits and moves up and downhoop ("cerceaux" is French for circle).

Aerial Hammock (also aerial tissue, aerial silk, aerial ballet in silk, aerial contortion or aerial curtain) is an acrobatic, aerial ballet which is performed while suspended from a piece of silk tied to form a hammock or other fabric ("tissu" is French for fabric).

Static Trapeze (also single trap) is an acrobatic, aerial ballet which is performed on a bar suspended by two ropes.

Spanish Web (also Rope, corde lisse) is an acrobatic, aerial ballet which is performed while suspended from a single rope.
