Aerzen is a municipality in the Hamelin-Pyrmont district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approx. 10 km southwest of Hamelin, and 7 km north of Bad Pyrmont.

One of the biggest employees in this region is Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH, the worldleader in production of lifting appliances. At the moment (April 2008) they are employing an estimated 1000 people.
