Aeris Communications, Inc.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aeris Communications, Inc. is a Machine to Machine, or M2M, network services operator. Aeris has developed and deployed AerFrame, a network service delivery platform designed for Machine-to-Machine communications. Working with its carrier partners, Aeris operates North America's largest wireless network service, reliably handling over one and a half million devices, and over two billion messages a year.
Although often categorized as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator, Aeris is unique in using their own allocations of MIN (from IFAST) and IMSI (from Telcordia) device numbers and identifiers to provide their data services, via agreements with cellular carriers that more closely resemble data roaming agreements than branded resale agreements.

Aeris's digital cellular services include Digital MicroBurst, SMSDirect, IP data services using 1xRTT and 1xEV-DO, as well as voice for M2M applications.
