Aegviidu

Aegviidu is a borough (Estonian: alev) in northern Estonia. Administratively it constitutes Aegviidu Parish (Estonian: Aegviidu vald) — a rural municipality within Harju County. The municipality has a population of 928 (as of 1 January 2004) and covers an area of 11.97 km². The population density is 77.5 inhabitants per km².
Aegviidu was first mentioned by the name Aegwid in 1796 on Livonian map, drawn by count Mellin.
Aegviidu has a station on the Elektriraudtee rail line.
