Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe

The Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe (ACARE) is a European Seventh Framework Programme initiative to improve the competitive situation of the European Union in the field of aeronautics. The programme is a joint initiative (Public-Private Partnership) of the Directorate-General for Transport and Energy of the European Commission, representing the European Communities, and the industry. ACARE has to produced twice a Strategic Research Agenda. ACARE was launched at the Paris Airshow in June 2001, and comprises about 40 members.
