Adult Swim Video is a free Video on demand service on the Adult Swim website that shows premiere episodes on Fridays at 6pm Eastern Time, and last all week until the next Friday update. It features full episodes that will and have been aired during Adult Swim and classic shows produced by Williams Street, and is available only to users in the United States.
Adult Swim Video plays streaming episodes using Adobe Flash. A fast Internet connection is required. The episodes are streamed over an AOL server (note that AOL, like Turner Broadcasting, which owns Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, is a unit of Time Warner). Adult Swim Video is also available to UK viewers through adultswim.co.uk. This, however, is run by Turner Broadcasting, not by Virgin Media, who broadcasts the TV block.

September 16, 2005: Adult Swim Video was originally launched under the name Friday Night Fix. This served as a programming service to accommodate viewers who wanted to see Adult Swim on Friday nights from 11PM-6AM, when Cartoon Network's Fridays block (formerly Cartoon Cartoon Fridays) ran all night on Fridays. The "Fridays" overnight block ran through July 6, 2007, when Adult Swim expanded to Friday nights, starting with a Family Guy marathon.
October 14, 2005: Friday Night Fix started airing specials and pilots, the first sign that its lineup was beginning to evolve and expand. However, they were old pilots that aired on the block years ago. (The first new pilot for the Fix was Lucy: Daughter of the Devil, which would premiere two weeks later.)
February 3, 2006: Friday Night Fix expanded beyond its all-comedy borders and started premiering their action lineup, beginning with new episodes of Samurai Champloo.
March 27, 2006: Friday Night Fix was renamed Adult Swim Fix and lasted a 24/7 schedule. The lineup also premiered with fourteen shows.
April 14, 2006: Coinciding with the premiere of Eureka 7 Adult Swim Fix expanded its premiere time by five hours, now lasting from 6PM-6AM.
June 23, 2006: Adult Swim Fix expanded its premiere time to last all week. For the first week, only the second season premiere of The Venture Bros. was available for an all-week streaming. A week later, all of the Fix's premieres (save for their anime programming) would become included in the change.
July 21, 2006: Adult Swim Fix began airing complete seasons of its comedy shows (beginning with Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, 12 Oz. Mouse, and Squidbillies), which would last for two weeks, while four episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force would rotate every week.
September 13, 2006: Adult Swim Fix gave its action shows the biweekly season treatment (starting with Paranoia Agent) and began airing live-action programming, with four episodes of Pee-Wee's Playhouse rotating every week.
October 27, 2006: Adult Swim Fix broke up its season-long episode fix and fractions the offering into small parts of each season to allow more shows for streaming.
November 6, 2006: Adult Swim Fix was updated to a new beta version, which was primarily designed using Flash. The new design required users to have at least Adobe Flash 8, Windows Media Player 10, and ActiveX to be installed, meaning visitors using either Mac OS X or Linux were unable to use the site. All shows are now streamed in a Flash-based player, and are divided into smaller clips.
December 15, 2006: Adult Swim Fix began inserting commercial advertisements between episode segments. These commercials cannot be skipped or fast-forwarded.
January 26, 2007: Adult Swim Fix officially expanded its compatibility to those with Mac OS X. Linux users also report the new system working, though scripting errors still cause occasional crashes.
May 11, 2007: Adult Swim dropped the Fix name and launched a new player. The name was changed to Adult Swim Video.
