The image is a scanned patch of a unit of the United States Military. ADSEC/COMZ - Advanced Section, Communications Zone. The unit was part of the Services of Supply organization.
The meaning of the patch is the lightening bolt is striking and breaking the Nazi chains of oppression. The Blue five pointed star in the white field is the emblem of Services of Supply. The patch was worn 25 FEB '44 to 28 FEB '46 in the ETO.
