Adrie Voorting

Adrianus ("Adri" of "Adrie") Voorting (February 15, 1931 in Haarlem, Noord-HollandAugust 1, 1961 in Bergen op Zoom, Noord-Brabant) was a road bicycle and track cyclist from the Netherlands, who represented his native country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland.

There he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the men's 4,000 m team pursuit, alongside Jan Plantaz, Daan de Groot and Jules Maenen. In the men's individual road Voorting ended up in 49th place. He was a professional road cyclist from 1953 to 1961. He is the younger brother of another famous Dutch cyclist, Gerrit Voorting. He died aged thirty in an autocrash.
