Adrian Schaposhnikov

Adrian Grigoryevich Schaposhnikov, (Russian: Адриан Гриогрьевич Шапошников; 1888-1967) was a Russian classical music composer, People's Artist of the RSFSR [1]. His style was similar to Alexander Gretchaninov. The only familiar work of his is the Sonata for Flute and Harp, published by Salvi, originally published in the Soviet Union. His harmonies are rich and inventive within classical sonata form. The Sonata has been recorded several times over the years.
