Adrian Moore was a character on Nip/Tuck during its second season. He was the son of Ava Moore and the rival of Matt McNamara. The character was played by Seth Gabel.
Adrian first appeared at the end of the episode where Matt McNamara started his relationship with Ava. After staying the night with Ava, Adrian makes his first appearance, nude, while Matt is eating breakfast. Adrian initially had a very hostile reaction to the relationship between Matt and his mother.
One night, Ava and Matt invite themselves over to dinner at the McNamaras. Adrian tries to intimidate Matt's mother, Julia, by surprising her with his newfound vegan diet. Adrian then goes to Matt's room and tries to kiss him. Later in the evening Adrian lets slip of his mother's affair with Matt, beginning a long conflict between the two women.
Adrian is a sociopath who also suffers from bipolar disorder and shows aspects of borderline personality disorder. He is also sexually ambiguous; he tries on two separate occasions to seduce Matt. He steals his mother's Vicodin and sells it at school and then frames Matt for it. Another time he urinates in the boys' bathroom soap and tricks a classmate into using it. He also vandalizes the bathroom stalls.
It appears that Ava and Adrian are involved in an incestuous relationship, although it turns out that Adrian is not blood related to Ava and has been lied to for years about his actual origin. It was later revealed that Ava is a transsexual, and Adrian's father, Barrett, was the doctor who performed her gender reassignment surgery.
When he finally learns the truth about Ava, Adrian snaps and tries to kill her. At the last minute, however, he instead stabs himself. Stricken with grief and remorse, Ava flees the country. Matt later finds Adrian's decaying body.
