Adrian Bumbescu

Adrian Bumbescu, (born February 23, 1960 in Craiova) is a former Romanian football player, a fullback, winner of European Cup in 1986 and European Supercup in 1987, both with Steaua Bucharest. He is now coaching a youth team at his former club, Steaua.
During his career as player, Bumbescu won the Romanian championship with three different teams, which is something no one else did. His first contract came in 1978 when he signs with Universitatea Craiova, winning the championship in 1980, the year when he is signed by Dinamo Bucharest and wins a new championship in 1982. After two years at FC Olt Scorniceşti (1982 - 1984), Bumbescu is requested by Steaua Bucharest and another five championships follow between 1985 and 1989.
Steaua refuses to renew his contract in 1992 and Bumbescu, aged 32, joins the side of Steaua Mizil from Romania's Divizia B, where he plays for three more seasons before eventually retiring from professional football.
He played 316 games in Divizia A and scored 4 goals. In addition to his seven national championships, the European Cup and the European Supercup, Bumbescu won the Romanian Cup in four occasions in 1982, 1985, 1989 and 1992 and won 15 caps for Romania, scoring one goal.
