[edit] Split with M-1 Mixfight

M1 Mixfight, is an organization based in Russia and owned by Vladim Finklestein. It gave many eastern European MMA fighters, such as Andrei Arlovski, Aleksander Emelianenko, Roman Zentsov and Alessio Sakara a platform to showcase their talents[citation needed]. The company was bought out and became part of M-1 Global in 2007. Although the company has reemerged upon the split with Adrenaline MMA, its future as a viable promotion is uncertain. On 19 April 2008 Monte Cox confirmed that he and the North-American side had split with the Russian side due to disagreements. This led Monte Cox to rename his promotion Adrenaline MMA.

[edit] Event History

The promotion co-produced its first event, Yarennoka!, with the Fighting and Entertainment Group on New Years Eve 2007. PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko appeared on the card, fighting K-1 kickboxer Hong-Man Choi, submitting him via armbar in the first round.

Their second planned event is scheduled for 14 June 2008, and will be headlined by MMA Submission Specialists Mike Russow and Jeff Monson.[3]

Adrenaline's third fight card will be a co-promotion with Affliction Clothing scheduled for 19 July 2008. Affliction Banned, the inaugural event of Affliction Clothing will be headlined by Fedor Emelianenko and Tim Sylvia.[4]
