[edit] GA

This article needs a much longer lead section for one, second the refs need to be more fully formatted with full bibliographic info including publisher, author, accessdate for websites etc. Also, the aftermath section is quite short, so it might need merging or expanding. Also see WP:MoS, "See also" comes before "References". The Dominator (talk) 20:41, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

The problem is that there are not much information for better lead section. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 21:19, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm nowhere near being an expert on the subject, but I'll attempt to construct a more comprehensive lead based on the information already in the article. The Dominator (talk) 23:17, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
This might be the good source [1]. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 23:41, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Why aren't any of the "Further reading" books being used as sources? Are some of them partially available on Google Books? And about the external links, I don't think it's a good idea to have them all in Czech, maybe one or two if they're really interesting and useful, but I think the links should generally be in English. [edit] GA fail

This article has failed it's GA review and the following improvements need to made in order for it to be reconsidered:

  • The section on Operation Anthropoid needs to be better summarized per Wikipedia:Summary style. For example, who was Heydrich? How did the members of Out Distance get involved?
  • Please explain how the Munich agreement ended his army career.
  • His fiancée is not mentioned until the quote from her, when did they get engaged? Why did she have to burn the correspondence?
  • How did he commit suicide?
  • A suggestion: it would be better if honors and dedications was in a table with date, honor and the reason why it was awarded - for example why was he only promoted in 2002 to Colonel? DId it mark an anniversary of some kind?
  • References are needed where {{fact}} templates have been placed
  • The quote from Opálka does not really fit into that section, is long and doesn't seem to add anything of note to the article.

If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far. Million_Moments (talk) 14:06, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Couldn't you have put it on hold? That's what I always do, regardless of the state of the article, I always give editors a chance to fix it, I don't think this article is beyond improvement. The DominatorTalkEdits 14:09, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
I just thought it would take more than seven days, which is what I understood to the the limit of an article on hold. Million_Moments (talk) 15:14, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
We'll try to address it, thank you for very good review :) ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 16:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
I hope we can eventually bring this article up, good work so far! The DominatorTalkEdits 03:42, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Out Distance

I'm tidying up the language, and I ran into this "Out Distance". Is it a translation of something? It doesn't sound quite right. Maybe it is a British code name? The article Out Distance is no help. --Milkbreath (talk) 21:54, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

It's not a translation, at least I was unable to find a Czech equivalent, that is the original name. The DominatorTalkEdits 23:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

What are the "Prague parachuters"? --Milkbreath (talk) 22:59, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't believe that refers to anything specific, just to the group of men who parachuted to Prague. The DominatorTalkEdits 23:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Life section

What is meant by "Senegal's Gunmen"? What is an "unfiled officer"? What is the sequence of events in the last paragraph? What is that stuff I hid at the end of the block quote? --Milkbreath (talk) 22:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Operation Anthropoid section

The quotation needs work, but I don't know Czech. If someone bilingual would like to get together with me on it, I'd be happy to help hammer out a better version. Also, I changed "grenade shell" to "shrapnel"; is that right? --Milkbreath (talk) 23:09, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I translated most of that but haven't gotten a chance to proofread properly yet, my written Czech is a bit rusty. The DominatorTalkEdits 23:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
