Adolfas Šleževičius

Adolfas Šleževičius (born February 2, 1948 in the village of Mirčiškės, Šiauliai County) is a former Prime Minister of Lithuania.
He was forced to resign on February 8, 1996 after a vote of no confidence in the Lithuanian Seimas, because of corruption charges. Šleževičius had withdrawn his assets at the last minute from two banks which collapsed.
He is sometimes nicknamed The Great Stabilisator because in interviews for the press he used to say that the situation is stable.
