Administrative Zone 3 (Gambela)

Administrative Zone 3 is one of the three zones of the Ethiopian Region of Gambela; none of the zones of Gambela have names. This zone is bordered by Sudan on the south, west and north, by Administrative Zone 1 on the east and Administrative Zone 2 on the southeast. Towns and cities in this zone include Tergol and Telut.
Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this zone has an estimated total population of 88,784, of whom 45,529 were males and 43,255 were females; 1,741 or 2% of its population are urban dwellers. With an estimated area of 6,023.29 square kilometers, this zone has an estimated population density of 14.74 people per square kilometer.[1]
