[edit] Formation
The band once featured singer Jizzy Pearl, guitarists Jamie Bloomer and Brent Muscat, and bassist Robbie Crane. Warrant guitarist Erik Turner temporarily stepped in for Muscat when Faster Pussycat had a conflicting schedule in the Spring of 2003. Michael Thomas, the former guitarist from Beautiful Creatures, stepped in for Keri Kelli in the Spring and Summer of 2004 when conflicting schedules got in the way when Keili was touring with Vince Neil at the time.
[edit] Lineup changes
Muscat left the band in October 2004 before the recording of the first recording. Jizzy Pearl left the band in March 2005 and was replaced by Sheldon Tarsha.
The EP Adler's Appetite was released in 2005. Former GNR member Gilby Clarke had planned to collaborate live with the band at the end of August but it never happened. Gilby Clarke had also guested with L.A. Guns while Jizzy was in that band and Keri Kelli and Brent Muscat also played together in a touring line-up of L.A. Guns.
In the fall of 2005, Tracii Guns (former of L.A. Guns and Guns N' Roses) planned to get involved in a collaboration with Steven Adler, Sheldon Tarsha, Keri Kelli, and Robbie Crane in a band project called "Guns N' Roses Revisited" and play shows in Asia. However, it never happened due to Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose threatening to file legal action.
Around that time, Craig Bradford was added as a member of Adler's Appetite. In October 2005, due to many of the many band members having gigs with other bands, Steven Adler and Sheldon Tarsha used Michael Thomas on guitar, JT Longoria on guitar and Enuff Z'nuff Bassist Chip Z'nuff to fill in for the other band members temporarily.
In December 2005, Keri Kelli, Robbie Crane, Craig Bradford were all fired from Adler's Appetite, and were replaced permanently by Michael Thomas, JT Longoria and Chip Z'nuff.
[edit] Break-up
Kelli, Crane and Pearl have since revealed that they co-own the name Adler's Appetite and were in a partnership that began in the fall of 2004 and that they are in a legal agreement that has been violated concerning the name.
In January 2006 Adler's Appetite disbanded due to problems between Adler and all the current band members while in the middle of a European Tour. Chip Z'Nuff announced this is the last gig for Adler's Appetite at a gig in Europe. Steven played with Guns N' Roses cover bands for the rest of the tour.
[edit] Comeback
In May 2006, LA Rock band Faster Pussycat announced the support on their latest tour would come from Bang Tango and Adler's Appetite. As the dates approached, Adler confirmed via his website that we would indeed be playing the dates with Faster Pussycat under the Adler's Appetite name, and that Chip Z'Nuff would be joining him for a number of those dates. Controversary surrounded some of the dates however when Adler failed to show for some performances.
The most interesting news, however, was Adler's appearance on a Mexican Radio Station in which he told the DJ he needed to use his phone to get in contact with former GNR bandmate Izzy Stradlin, and that he had been working on a new Adler's Appetite album which would be out before Christmas, but which would use the vocals of the old singer (Jizzy Pearl), presumebly this is the album which Keri Kelli, Jizzy Pearl, Robbie Crane and Adler recorded together before 3 of those members left the band. If, and when, the album will see the light of day, or if it even exists, only Adler will know and tell.
On April 13th 2007 a previously unreleased song was posted on http://www.myspace.com/stevenadlersite entitled 'Sadder Days'
The vocals and lyrics for "Sadder Days" were performed and written by Sheldon Tarsha, whose own band Tarsha is currently promoting its single "Dirty". This exclusive recording also includes the bass talents of Robbie Crane (ex-Ratt, Vince Neil). The music for "Sadder Days" — which was recorded in April 2005 — was composed by the "wickedly talented" Keri Kelli (Alice Cooper), who also engineered and produced the venture.
This would seem to suggest that Keri and Crane, who owned the Alder's Appetite name alongside Adler, had come to a rather amicable agreement to release something in the form of new material from their collective time in the band.
In July 2007, 18 months after the band disbanded Adler has reformed the band with Colby Veil on Vocals, Michael Thomas on Guitar, Kristy Majors on Guitar, Chip Z'Nuff on Bass and Adler on Drums. Tarsha was originally supposed to be involved but due to conflicting schedules decided not to be involved in the band.
As of November 2007, the lineup includes Steven Adler of Guns n' Roses on drums, Joe Leste of Bang Tango/Beautiful Creatures on vocals, Kristy Majors of Pretty Boy Floyd and Michael Thomas of Beautiful Creatures on guitar, and Chip Z'nuff of Enuff Z'nuff on bass. They will embark on a 22 date European tour in November and December.
On 23rd November 2007 it was announced that the band would be cancelling their comeback European tour. Staff at the Fort Bar in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, (where the band were scheduled to play that night), stated that they had been informed that Steven Adler had suffered a heart attack and therefore the show and subsequent tour has been cancelled. As of 24th November 2007 no official statement from Steven Adler, the band or his/their representatives has been made to state the exact reason why the tour has been cancelled.
