Adi Jambava

Adi Jambava is community found in Karnataka state, India. They believed to be descendents of Jambavantha. They have their Mutt or Messionaire in Shimoga. Most striking feature is they worship Monkey God Hanuman. They mostly speak Kannada Language and follow Ramayana as their sacred text.
They are trying get their caste recognized in Govt. of Karnataka. They usually wear Naama or Tilak.
