Adesh Gupta

Adesh Gupta is the Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Shoes, one of India's biggest footware companies. He is a mechanical engineering graduate from NIT Kurukshetra. He specialised in polyurethane applications in footwear and joined Liberty in 1983. He pioneered polyurethane technology for the first time in India and helped make Liberty a leader in Domestic Market.[1] He has also put into place a road map for Liberty's foray into the international markets and aggressively marketed the brand.[2] With a string of diversification Adesh has changed the company into a multi product conglomerate with interests in Retailing, Automotive, Chemicals, Construction and Real estate sectors. Adesh Gupta has acted as Northern Regional Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry[3] and chairman of the Indian Commerce Ministry's Footwear Design and Development Institute.[4] He is also chairman of the Institute Management Committee of the Karnal Industrial Training Institute.
