Adelaide Peninsula

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Adelaide Peninsula (Iluilik)[1], ancestral home to the Illuilirmiut Inuits,[2] is a large peninsula in Nunavut, Canada. It is located at 68.0833333° N 97.8333333° W south of King William Island.

Starvation Cove, on the northern tip of the peninsula, was the southermost point that the doomed survivors of the 1845-48 John Franklin expedition reached on their march south to find help.
