The Adelaide Lightning are an Australian Women's Basketball League (WNBL) team based in Adelaide, Australia. The club was formed in 1993, and has won the WNBL Championship five times.
The team acquired the rather incongruous moniker of the "Adelaide Fellas" in a corporate naming rights agreement in 2005. They resumed use of the "Lightning" moniker in the 2006-07 season.
Their current team roster for the 2007-08 season is Lauren King, Rebecca Duke, Renae Camino, Samantha Woosnam, Angela Marino, Jenny Whittle, Erin Phillips, Jessica Foley, Tracy Gahan and Brittany Wilkins.
Wilkins was released by the club on October 17 with the club citing an inability to find a role for her within the team.
On that same day, the club attracted media attention when owner Vince Marino sacked Head Coach Chris Lucas. The incident was soon followed by both Assistant Coaches, an Individuals Coach, Team Manager, Team Doctor and Courtside Announcer quitting in protest.
Vicki Valk was named as the team's new coach on October 18.
