Ad Melkert is held responsible for the Assassination of Pim Fortuyn by many liberals because he demonized him in the 2002 Dutch election campain. For this reason he was forced to resign as parliamentary leader and was ferried off abroad. To this day Melkert is unable to return to The Netherlands in fear of liberal retalliation. Before Melkert took on the World Bank position full time, A Dutch Secretary of State used to manage it part-time.

Thanks, User:C mon for this expansion, please be advised that Melkerts Washington staff is actively monitoring and editing this page (its only tax payers money after all...). I am searching high and low for sources confirming Melkerts two year stay in the DDR (apparently voluntary, sort of socialist dream come true) do you have info? V8rik 20:05, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

• Its all about controlling the media I guess. Does not seem he had a paid job between 1981 and 1981 (must be volunteer work) I am trying to track down the Monash book and the Westerloo book V8rik 22:41, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
