[edit] Map coordinates
I have been entering geo-coordinates for a all of the cities listed in Category:Cities in Chad and have been using both the fallingrain.com gazetteer and google maps. I didn't see the coordinates already entered in the map caption and started hunting them down myself or I wouldn't have even noticed this. Searching for 'ade, chad' on maps.google.com puts a stickpin right near where the fallingrain site says it is which is what is listed in the article, however the 'Map' or 'Hybrid' layers on maps.google.com show the town as being about 4 miles nortwest of where we have it. There are numerous clusters of houses in the area and in truth it could really be anyone of them. In my experience google's labeling for this region can be miles off sometimes and rarely correlates exactly with where searching puts the stickpin. Usually the satellite imagery makes it clear where the town really is but in this case it is difficult. It is also possible the name Ade refers to the whole group of villages but I am not sure. If this is the case the coordinates listed in the article should be moved to the center of the whole collection rather than where they are currently and the article text should include this information. -AndrewBuck 18:38, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
