Please let me know your thoughts and I sincerely applozize, if my contributions have violated the sanctity of Wikipedia's work.

I did not want to use Wikipedia as an advertising or promotion site. But here is my problem, as compared to English books, Hindi books are not easily available outside India. Even though there are many bookstores supposedly working in this area, the availability is extremely poor and reliable avaiabilty is non existant. Also, very few details are available about books, the site link I had attached had details and samples of material inside the book.

In my understanding, Wikipedia is striving to become an authentic source for information on any topic and since the details inside the book cannot be provided by the Wikipedia itself. The user should get an opportunity to explore further and this website provides more details.

Thank You.

That same idea could apply to many products across many countries. Google for "buy hindi books" gets lots of hits. How are we to know that the ones you add are any better than these others ?. If the site you posted was a neutral site e.g. like the Gutenberg Project, or the only place the book could be bought then it may be allowed but I don't think it is so this is just advertising SPAM. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to K. M. Munshi. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. BelovedFreak 19:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Khushwant Singh. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
