Talk:Action Police CFTC

[edit] Representation
According to Libération, Action Police CFTC represents 20% of policemen. I wonder how this corresponds to the 0.32% they got in the elections. http://www.liberation.fr/page.php?Article=335616
- Seems strange; Libé also have another article which says that they are "ultra-minor" [1] and there is a graph [2] which rates tham at 0,32%. The sort of web site that Action Police CFTC have, their rhetorics and the fact that they brag about the absolute number of "sympathisers" rather than about a percentage leads me to believe that the 20% could be an error. - Could be one of those "according to the police" versus "according to the demonstrators" mismatches :) -- Ze miguel 10:23, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Far-right
I think you need some kind of external justifications before calling this union "far-right" (especially since it's affiliated with CFTC, one of the representative confederations). David.Monniaux 14:13, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, it is indeed an over-simplification to say so (and I apologise for it, the article was made in emergency).
- It seems [3] [4] that this union was not originally far-right, but its control was recently taken by the Thooris person, who seems to be close to the views of Philippe de Villiers, and most definitely out of touch with the sort of view that the CFTC typically supports. Apparently, Thooris recently received very strong criticism from his unionist hierarchy.
- I am going to try have make a more accurate rendering of this. Rama 14:44, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
Action Police CFTC was actually founded by former members of the Police National Front, a union affiliated to the National Front. ES2003
- Interesting, would you happen to have references to back this ? Rama 21:15, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I have found references about this on... Action Police's website ! (http://www.actionpolice.com/perso-24817.htm). ES2003
