[edit] Genre(s)
Let's decide on the genre here. Support what you say and have a reliable source to back it up. There's obviously some debate as to what genre this album falls in to. I've never heard it (nor do I want to) but looking it up on google I found mostly metalcore and screamo being attached to the album...not blackened death metal or grindcore (which, not to insult anyone, sounds like total idiocy to me). Post your thoughts here. Until it's been decided and sourced correctly it will be left as simply "metalcore" for now. There may be some evidence to support deathcore as well. Act Of Depression has a range of influences. Depending on who you ask they'll say it is or has metalcore, hardcore, black metal, groove, and death influences. No need to pigeonhole it. Also how can you say it wouldn't be a certain genre without listening to it? Underoath used to be a real metal band, so it may not be as stupid as it sounds.

- The sources you provided were not adequate to change the genre of this album to anything except maybe deathcore. I understand what you are saying but I'm not talking about influences. I'm talking about the genre of this album. It's metalcore or deathcore and possibly groove metal but it is not at all death or black metal. I just want to point out for others the sources you provided were reviews (which don't count) and last.fm tages which also don't count. But even if they did the closest thing they say is deathcore and metalcore. If no one finds a source saying deatth and/or black metal then we're not putting it into the article.
