Across The Years
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Across The Years is one of a few ultrarunning festivals still taking place in the USA. Founded in 1983 by Harold Sieglaff the race has changed over the years in location as well as organisation. Today the race is held at Nardini Manor about 45 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ. The race has been sold out 2005 and 2006 and possibly a lottery will be held for entry into this popular event.
This multi-day event comprises three ultramarathon 24-hour races - one on each day -- two 48-hour races and a 72-hour race.
In 2005, Yiannis Kouros set a new 48-hour world record at the event.
