[edit] NPOV dispute
e.g. "The only flaw which marred the purity of their doctrine, and their loyalty to Rome": it's not at all neutral to call their doctrine flawed, or to assume that they had any duty to be "loyal" to Rome.
[edit] copyright clear
A google search shows this at http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01105d.htm but that sites a 1907 The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume I so the copyright has lapsed.
[edit] Need formatting
I split it into paragraphs because it was one long chunk of text. However, my paragraphing was rather arbitrary and it should be edited to flow better and be more readable. RJFJR 00:46, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
