ACME Communications

ACME Communications (NASDAQACME) is a television broadcasting company that owns seven television stations. Six stations are CW Television Network affiliates. The seventh, part of a duopoly in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a MyNetworkTV affiliate. ACME Communications also produces the national television show The Daily Buzz. The show is currently produced out of a studio inside Full Sail Real World Education in Winter Park, Florida.

On June 20, 2007 GOCOM Media announced their purchase of WBUI-TV in Decatur, Illinois From ACME Communications.[1]

Acme Communications was founded by Jamie Kellner former FOX executive and CEO of the WB. He used the name Acme as a play on the Warner Brothers cartoon the Road Runner and Coyote where the Coyote was always purchasing equipment from a company called Acme [1]
