[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello Aclapton, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DAZ Studio 1715 screenshot.png

Thanks for uploading Image:DAZ Studio 1715 screenshot.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:55, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DAZ Studio thanks

Thank you for your thanks! I have had DS and various 3D stuff in my watch list for quite a while, so I keep an eye out on them. I feel that patrolling for vandalism is as important as creating the content! :-) --Geoff Riley (talk) 14:10, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Deletion of Talk:Londonderry House

It's really rather simple. : - ) CSD refers to Criteria for speedy deletion. There are about eight subsections of CSD, general, articles, redirects, etc. Under each subsection is a specific criterion, for example, the sixth CSD criterion under the general subsection is for housekeeping and maintenance. The page you're referring to was tagged once in April 2007 and then the tag was removed, leaving a blank page. It was deleted as routine housekeeping.

Sorry about any confusion. I use short summaries because I do thousands of these, and filling up the space with more characters just seems like a waste to me. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 19:52, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
