"Acid Tracks" is a 12-inch single released in 1987 by Phuture. It is one of several recordings laying claim to be the first song that was made using the Roland TB-303 synthesizer in an unusual manner. This synth was originally made as a bass accompaniment for bands, but ended up as a favorite among electronic-music producers. The style with which this song became associated became known as acid house.
