Acid Test (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Acid Test was a Canadian alternative rock band. Guitarist Steve Fall played a prominent role in the Bruce McDonald black comedy Highway 61 in 1992, and the band was created to perform two songs on the movie's soundtrack ("Mr. Skin" and "Dance"). After independently releasing an album on Canadian Eggplant Records, Sire Records (Warner Music Group) signed the band in 1993, where they released Drop. After a solid two years of hard touring opening for a diverse collective of headlining acts such as Nine Inch Nails, Grace Jones,Snow, 5440, Ocean Blue, to name but a few, Acid Test toured until mid 1994 calling it quits due to band infighting and lack of proper label support.
