Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Winnie-the-Pooh. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Yamla 15:27, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Winnie-the-Pooh, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. --Yamla 14:19, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why I have been warned??

Hello, I don't understand anything at all! I just wanted to add the link to my Winnie-the-Pooh-Page which contains many interesting facts about Milne's famous Childrens Book, and as a result I have been warned (!) to be blocked...!! — What IS Wikipedia? A place where only some "VIPs" can insert some texts? I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED!

  • The message above that Yamla left last January gives policy-driven reasons why not every link to everyone's personal website is accepted on Wikipedia. You have submitted that same link four times to the Winnie-the-Pooh page, and each time it was reverted for the same reasons. Please take a moment to reread the external links guideline. Additionally, while your website does contain interesting (albeit seemingly unsourced) information on the cuddly bear, your website is written in German -- quite inappropriate for the English-language Wikipedia. You might consider visiting the German-language Wikipedia and seeing if they might be interested in including your link. -- LeCourT:C 19:32, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Another remark here. Wikipedia is not a place where only VIPs can insert some text, anyone can! But you are not inserting text, you are inserting weblinks only. It has now been noticed that you are doing that on wikis in different languages, and you can see this as your final warning. Any further additions of this link by you will result in a block, and subsequently in blacklisting of the link. The latter has a result that the link can not be used on any of the wikipedia that use the blacklist, however useful the link may be. Hope this explains. --Dirk Beetstra T C 15:44, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
