just so that everyone can have a perspective... this article is taken from a subsection in Indian Nationalism called the Belief in the ancient nature of Indian civilization... the veracity and POV nature of many of the statements in this article has been disputed over for almost 4 months and it was decided to move this article to its own site as it did not really relate to Indian nationalism and further, it had resulted in multiple edit wars and the article being locked for 2-3 times. If you wish to see what the discussion was about, please go to the indian nationalism page and look at the august-october changes. Kennethtennyson 19:19, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My two pence

I think that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and the point of having pre-notions about India should not come in the development of this page. After all many wikipedia articles have grown from stubs as the pioneers had found long ago: User:Angela/Stubs. --Bhadani (talk) 04:01, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
