[edit] ISBN problem
To avoid causing problems for WIkipedia's ISBN-checking, I have removed the ISBN for the following book: Insight Meditation: Practical Steps to Ultimate Truth. Vipassana Dhura Meditation Society, Fawnskin, California, USA, 1989. Repr. Jan.2005. Invalid ISBN 947-8357-85-6. Perhaps this will one day be republished with valid ISBN. If so please update. Until then it should say 'No ISBN available'.
To confirm that ISBN is invalid, it may be entered at isbn.org/converterpub.asp. EdJohnston 21:26, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rename page: Ajahn -> Achan?
Although both forms of his title can be found on the web, there are several reasons to prefer 'Achan':
- That's how he's currently referred to in the text of the article
- 'achan sobin namto' gets nearly twice as mainly Google hits as 'ajahn sobin namto.'
- Search Amazon for 'Sobin Namto' and his name is spelled 'Achan' wherever his books are listed.
- His name is spelled 'Achan' on the web site of a society where he teaches in Barre, VT: http://vipassanadhura.com/ourteacher.htm
Please let me know if you object to this page move. Thanks, EdJohnston 04:04, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
