Achabal is a town and a notified area committee in Anantnag district in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Achabal had a population of 5835. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Achabal has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 65% of the males and 35% of females literate. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. Achabal is the site of a famous Mughal garden
