Ace Ventura Jr. is a second sequel to the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. It has begun production as of 2008 and has been rated PG. The film was announced to be released in September along with an extended version of the promo posters that were leaked in mid-2007.

Production has started in Orlando, Florida, on 17 September 2007. Ace Ventura 3 is being directed at Universal Studios Orlando and Gatorland, Orange County.[9][10]
