ACE GALLERY is a large art gallery based in Los Angeles, California, USA, founded in 1961 by the gallery's director Douglas Chrismas, ACE gallery has a history of installing ambitious exhibitions. ACE gallery currently has two functioning gallery spaces in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, both in California.
Since the conception of the gallery, it has shown important work from Artists such as Richard Serra, Donald Judd, Robert Irwin and Carl Andre. More recently, the gallery has exhibited work by the artists, Tara Donovan, Tim Hawkinson, Melanie Pullen and Ken Feingold. A recent exhibition was of the paintings and photographs of Hollywood actor Dennis Hopper, which used the entire 30,000 sq ft (3,000 m²) space. Lauren Bon's show Bees and Meat is currently being exhibited at the Wilshire Boulevard location.
The main gallery is in the Miracle Mile section of Wilshire Boulevard. There is also a branch in Beverly Hills, also on Wilshire Boulevard. ACE gallery is developing a new space in New York now scheduled to open in Spring of 2008, having left their original New York space on Hudson St in 2005.
