Abyssinian Creole is a hip hop group based in Seattle, Washington. The group consists of MCs Gabriel Teodros and Khingz, DJ WD4D, and producer Kitone. The significance behind the name Abyssinian Creole comes from the bridging of "the oldest African nation to the newest African tongue" and references the lyricists' Ethiopian, Eritrean, Haitian, and Dominican roots.[1]

The group, which formed in 2001, has performed in numerous locations, including Seattle, the Bay Area, Vancouver B.C., and Brooklyn. They have shared stages with the likes of KRS-One, Hieroglyphics, Fishbone, dead prez, Digable Planets, GZA/Genius, The Pharcyde, Aceyalone & Abstract Rude, Immortal Technique, and Zap Mama.[2]

They currently have a full length album titled Sexy Beast and both Gabriel Teodros and Khingz are working on solo projects.
